ZenHorse Designs specializes in serving the needs of agricultural, equine, and small businesses.

We have the unique advantage of having extensive experience in these areas and understanding the needs of both business owners and their clients. In fact, ZenHorse Designs was born of our search for a web design company that understood our business and the people with whom we did business.

We design websites for the people who use them, your customers, not for other design companies or for the junior high kid next door; neither of whom have cattle, horses, or a small business. We do.

The secret to good business web design is to think like a customer.

A website projects your business identity. The first impression for new customers and the point of contact for established clients, it is a virtual presence, open for business 24/7. Friendly, comfortable, efficient. Words that describe feelings and emotions. Advertising is all about feelings and emotions, the fulfillment of wants, desires, and needs.

Navigation, navigation, navigation.

It's that important! Navigation makes your product and information available to your customers. Finding information on a site should be intuitive and easy. Poor site navigation, a very common flaw in websites, is the most common reason for potential customers to leave a site. Good consitent navigation improves search engines rating. If they find it, they will come!

Questions, questions.

Think about what you want your site to accomplish. When a customer arrives at your place of business, what do you want to happen? To make money is usually a given, but how? What is the purpose of your website? How do you want people to feel when they are on your site? Who are your customers? Can they find what they are looking for? What does the customer get from visiting your site? Why should they stay? Why should they come back? What will they remember? The answers to these questions drive the design process, so that your site performs for you.

As your business grows.

Plannning for the future of your business is an extremely important design consideration. The capacity for growth should be inherent in the original site design, even if it begins with just a few pages. In order to design the distinctive look and feel of a site while also incorporating efficient function, these questions must be answered before the design process begins.

Websites serve various functions, ranging from the simplicity of an informative flyer posted on the internet to varying degrees of interactive learning or shopping. Just as physical stores are laid out to guide and facilitate customer experience, so a well designed website also delivers a good customer experience.

We are here for you.

ZenHorse Designs helps you answer these questions and provides guidance in choosing the raw material for your business presence.

Our goal is to help you reach your business goals.

Word Of Mouth-The Best Form Of Marketing Ever Invented!

Nothing has ever been invented that's better or more cost effective than getting your customers to do your advertising for you!

Build A Strong & Loyal Customer Base

The cost, and the time involved, of building a firm and loyal customer base is the most cost efficient method of advertising.  Are you taking advantage? A weekly, monthly, or quarterly interactive newsletter takes little time and costs nothing to print and deliver - thanks to e-mail. The minimal cost of setting up and maintaining a subscription based e-mail newsletter is far outweighed by the benefits of building a strong and loyal customer base.

The Secret To High Search Engine Positioning

Every search engine makes available to the public exactly what it looks for and how they evaluate a web site. There really is no secret. Design a relevant informative web site that is focused on your purpose... and design it well. It takes knowledge, expertise and time to develop a site properly. Unfortunately, in order to turn out many sites quickly, large web design companies prefer to turn out template, cookie cutter sites for small businesses, rather than well designed websites. Do-it-yourself templates fall even lower yet.

The general answer from all search engine companies is good design. The specific answer is a bit more complicated. Each search engine evaluates web sites in their own way with their own unique evaluation criteria. What one search engine sees as very important, another search engine will see as less important. Some look at only the first page of a site, while others look through the entire site. Some search engines place great importance on the first sentence of a page, on the assumption that this sentence sets the tone for the entire page. Other search engines ignore the first paragraph completely, thinking that it takes a paragraph to "set the stage" for the really important stuff that follows. Some search engines look at the last paragraph for a summary of the contents of the page. And Search Engines are constantly changing, trying new ways to improve their accuracy in evaluations. So a good design company spends much time constantly staying abreast of all these changes.

A good professional web designer takes all that information into account - and then becomes a master juggler and puzzler, as they create the various pieces of a web site to fit into as many of the search engine specifications as possible - and still keep it pleasing to the eye! This takes a combination of many skills, highly focused energy, flexible creativity, and the ability to put it all together. None of these things can be accomplished by using a template or cookie cutter design program.
